In order to achieve a properly fitting information security policy one should approach information security from a company context, according to the ISO27001 standard. A stakeholder approach is important, although in practice our profession is not putting much focus on stakeholder analysis. With the new version of the ISO27001 standard even more emphasis is placed on stakeholder involvement. This is why we have invited a specialist from a workfield where stakeholder analysis is much more prominently used than in the security field. Dr. Annemarie van Zeijl-Rozema from Maastricht University is an Associate Professor in Sustainability Science and will share with us some insights, tools and methods for stakeholder engagement. There will be room to experience some tools first hand.
