Coming to grips with the EU AI Act

Ulrika Dellrud is a globally recognized thought leader in privacy and data, including AI, digital ethics, and open data.  Her career spans 25 years of global operational and strategic privacy and data experience, having served as chief privacy officer in several big multinational companies.  As a certified board advisor, she regularly advises companies and regulators on data-related topics. A Swedish and US-qualified attorney, she has held several influential positions with the IAPP and is currently on its  AI Governance Exam Development Board.  She is the certification director for ISACA Belgium and regularly mentors younger and upcoming professionals.

Content:

The EU AI Act is upon us and companies are scrambling with the various requirements scattered throughout the regulation.  The presentation will cover the broad main requirements in a hands-on and practical way, highlighting how important it is to work across several functions, why Privacy is a good starting point to lower compliance costs and to not re-invent the wheel.  We also touch upon some of the shortcomings of the Act and what some next steps may be to address these.
