On 11 June 2025, the ISACA Netherlands Chapter hosted a well attended General Members Meeting (GMM), an evening focused on reflection, transparency, and community engagement.

Dwayne Valkenburg was re-elected as a chapter president for the next 4 years, for a final term.

Announcements of end of term schedules of all current board members.

One of the key milestones of the evening was the approval of the 2024 financial statements, followed by the granting of discharge to the board. We thank Arash Rahmani for delivering a clear and thorough presentation of the financials and for addressing member questions with clarity and expertise.

The meeting also marked a transition in board leadership, with Marcel Feenstra officially appointed as the new Secretary. Marcel steps into the role previously held by Ghullam Memon, whose contributions and dedication over the years have played a vital role in supporting the chapter’s internal governance.

We sincerely thank Ghullam Memon for his commitment and service.

Welcome message from Marcel Feenstra

Hello everyone, my name is Marcel Feenstra, and I am absolutely delighted that the members have elected me as Secretary of the NL Chapter Board! While my original background is in linguistics and literature, I have worked in IT for almost 40 years now, most recently as a trainer of ISACA and other courses. I enjoy watching movies, reading, sports (athletics, judo), and playing contract bridge, as well as spending time with my French wife and our two adult daughters.
I look forward to meeting our members at Round Tables and other events—please feel free to connect with me via LinkedIn. –
