After full and careful review, ISACA made the strategic decision to discontinue the following, effective 6 January 2026.

  • Certified in Emerging Technology (CET)
  • Information Technology Certified Associate (ITCA)
  • Computing Fundamentals certificate
  • Networks & Infrastructure Fundamentals certificate
  • Software Development Fundamentals certificate

What’s next:

  • Those who hold the CET or ITCA certification will be notified that they can still maintain their certification(s) with continuing professional education (CPE) credits.
  • Last day to purchase courses, labs, and/or exams: 6 January 2026
  • If candidates have questions or need assistance, please direct them to ISACA Support.

No changes: ISACA remains committedto delivering foundational and entry-level training and credentialing associated with our core domains and focus areas. The following will continue to be offered:

  • Cybersecurity Fundamentals
  • Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals
  • IT Audit Fundamentals
  • IT Risk Fundamentals
  • Data Science Fundamentals
  • Cloud Computing Fundamentals
  • Blockchain Fundamentals
  • IoT Fundamentals

Why this is happening: A changing learning landscape, refined strategies to align programs with the evolving needs of ISACA’s community, and reallocation of resources to provide more impactful training and credentialing.
