“Coming to grips with the EU AI Act” by Ulrika Dellrud
Ulrika Dellrud is a globally recognized thought leader in privacy, data, AI, digital ethics, and open data. Her career spans 25 years of global experience in operational and strategic privacy and data, having served as Chief Privacy Officer for several big multinational companies. As a certified board advisor, Ulrika regularly advises companies and regulators on data-related topics. A Swedish and US-qualified attorney, she has held several influential positions with the IAPP and currently serves on its AI Governance Exam Development Board. Ulrika is the Certification Director for ISACA Belgium Chapter and regularly mentors younger and upcoming professionals.

The EU AI Act is upon us and companies are scrambling with the various requirements scattered throughout the regulation. Ulrika will cover the broad main requirements in a hands-on and practical way, highlighting how important it is to work across several functions, why privacy is a good starting point to lower compliance costs and to not reinvent the wheel. She also touch upon some of the shortcomings of the Act and what some next steps may be to address these.
