The Cyber Resilience Act entered into force in 2024, and its first obligations will become effective in 2026. Nevertheless, many security professionals are not yet fully aware of this legislation. Wilko Baks (ASML) and a colleague from Bureau Veritas will guide us through a brief explanation and share early experiences with the implementation of the CRA. In particular, these implementation insights present a unique opportunity, rarely offered elsewhere.

After completing his education at Fontys, Wilko Baks pursued a career at prominent Eindhoven-based tech companies, including Philips, NXP, and later served for many years as a project leader at ASML. In this latter role, he is closely involved in the implementation of the CRA.
