CISA stands for Certified Information System Auditor. The CISA certification is an internationally recognised and preferred certification for information systems (IS) audit, assurance and security professionals.
Typical of these times, IT is becoming more complex while shifting from supporting the business to being peripheral, if not, IT being the business itself. Rapid developments are making it increasingly difficult to unequivocally establish that systems are compliant and profitable. CISAs have the knowledge, background and support to provide that assurance worldwide. CISA is recognised and preferred throughout the world in all industries as recognition for specialists in auditing, assurance and information systems (IS) security.
Within the CISA certification, five domains are examined, with different weighting factors:
- The Process of Auditing Information Systems (14%)
- Governance and Management of IT (14%)
- Information Systems Acquisition, Development and Implementation (19%)
- Information Systems Operations, Maintenance and Support (23%)
- Protection of Information Assets (30%)
A minimum score must be achieved within each domain to pass.
