ISACA Netherlands Chapter believes that the privacy and confidentiality of one’s personal information is important. Therefore, ISACA Netherlands Chapter has prepared this Privacy Statement.

In this Privacy Statement, ISACA Netherlands Chapter explains what personal data it collects and uses and for what purpose.

ISACA Netherlands Chapter is an independent association under Dutch law. Its website is www.isaca.nl. ISACA Netherlands Chapter has a cooperation agreement with ISACA, sometimes referred to as ISACA Global for clarity, with its website www.isaca.org. ISACA Global is a global independent non-profit professional association. It has its own privacy policy, which can be viewed here. https://www.isaca.org/pages/Privacy.aspx

Members of ISACA are automatically members of their nearest Local Chapter. ISACA Netherlands Chapter does not maintain independent membership records. Membership administration, recording of certificates obtained by members and PE – points administration are conducted and managed by ISACA Global, based in the United States (1700 E. Golf Road, Suite 400, Schaumburg, Illinois 60173, USA).

Privacy policy ISACA Netherlands Chapter

ISACA Netherlands Chapter will never provide personal data to companies, organisations or individuals without your express consent. Except, of course, in cases where we are required to do so by law.

ISACA Netherlands Chapter processes data for one or more of the following purposes (also depending on which services or functionalities are used):

To approach members regarding topics related to ISACA and/or activities for members. ISACA Netherlands Chapter then requests the current list of members from ISACA Global. This list is destroyed after use.
To improve services to members.
To enable members and non-members to register for a Round Table, another event or a training course (co-)provided by ISACA Netherlands Chapter;
To allow members and non-members to subscribe or unsubscribe to the periodic newsletter published by ISACA Netherlands Chapter;
To register members as volunteers, for example as board members or committee members.

ISACA Netherlands Chapter maintains its own administrations for this purpose:

A list of members;
List of newsletter recipients;
A list of volunteers;
Participant lists of Round Tables, events, workshops and trainings.

List of newsletter recipients

Anyone can subscribe to the newsletter by entering an email address on this page. Unsubscribing can be done using the link included in each newsletter.

List of volunteers

ISACA Netherlands Chapter maintains, for its own use, a list of volunteers. The information in this list is limited to name, phone number, email address and area of expertise.

Participant lists at Round Tables, events and conferences and training sessions

For the administration of participation in activities, ISACA Netherlands Chapter processes limited personal information, namely: name and e-mail address. All other information (telephone number, member number and comment) is optional. In addition to this data, attendance is recorded for the purpose of verifying PE points.

When registering for a paid activity, an invoice may be created. The invoice is processed in the financial administration of ISACA Netherlands Chapter.

For a number of events and conferences, ISACA NL Chapter cooperates with NOREA, IIA, NBA, and PvIB or others. If registration is not via www.isaca.nl, the privacy regulations of the organising association apply and personal data may be shared within the cooperating associations.

Retention period

ISACA NL Chapter retains recorded personal data for no longer than for the realisation of the purposes for which they were collected and processed. After this, they will be destroyed within a reasonable period of time.

Profiling and cookies

Our website (www.isaca.nl) uses functional and analytical cookies. Users are not profiled.

Security and retention

ISACA NL Chapter takes appropriate security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorised access to captured personal data. This includes ensuring that only the necessary persons have access to the data, that access to the data is protected and that the security measures taken are checked regularly.

Data are not kept longer than necessary. That is, ISACA NL Chapter retains the data for as long as is necessary to provide the requested service or the activity continues, respectively. Exceptions to this are data that must be kept longer because the law requires it.

Websites of third parties

This statement does not apply to third-party websites linked to or from the ISACA NL Chapter website by means of links. Always read that website’s privacy statement before using that website.

Amendments to this privacy statement

ISACA NL Chapter may amend this privacy statement from time to time. Amendments will be published on the website.

Inspection and modification of recorded data

The ISACA NL Chapter website allows members to create and modify a profile; this is only relevant when registering for a Round Table or other event, or when registering for a training course.

Members and non-members have the right to request a copy of the information ISACA NL Chapter has recorded about them and, if necessary, to pass on corrections to this information.
