ISACA Netherlands Chapter No-Show Fee Policy

At ISACA Netherlands Chapter, we are committed to delivering high-quality events and providing value to our members. To maintain the accessibility and quality of our events, we have introduced a No-Show Fee Policy.

Why do we have a No-Show fee?

ISACA Netherlands Chapter organizes a wide range of events throughout the year, covering diverse topics within cybersecurity, IT governance, and more. While many of our events are free for members, there are still costs associated with organizing them, such as venue rental, catering, administrative work, registration, speakers, and audio/visual equipment.

On average, these costs amount to €60 per participant. When a registered participant does not attend an event without prior cancellation, these costs are incurred unnecessarily. Furthermore, it can be discouraging for our speakers, who often volunteer their time to share valuable knowledge with attendees. It’s also unfair to other members who contribute to the event’s costs through their annual membership fees.

No-Show Fee Policy details

To ensure our events remain accessible, fair, and efficient, we have decided to introduce a No-Show Fee. The policy was approved at the General Members Meeting (ALV) on June 10, 2024, and the board is authorized to implement it in line with the association’s statutes.

  • Fee Amount: €60 for in-person events (Note: This policy does not apply to Square Table webinars).
  • First Two No-Shows: A warning will be issued after your first two no-shows.
  • Third No-Show: After your third no-show, the fee of €60 will be charged, and you will not receive CPE credits for attending ISACA Netherlands Chapter events until the fee is paid in full.

Conditions for No-Show:

  • A No-Show occurs when you do not attend an event you have registered for without notifying ISACA Netherlands Chapter.
  • You may cancel your registration up to 24 hours before the event starts.
  • To cancel your registration, please send an email to backoffice@isaca.nl. You are not required to provide a reason for cancellation.
  • Arriving late or joining the event after the start time will not count as a no-show.
  • If you wish to appeal the no-show fee, please contact backoffice@isaca.nl.

Avoid unnecessary costs

We have made the cancellation process as simple as possible. If you cannot attend an event, please ensure you cancel your registration on time to avoid the no-show fee. By doing so, you help us keep our events accessible and fair to all members.
