I have been active in ISACA since 2013 & with ISACA Netherlands since 2017.
As a professional I started my first certificate as CISM, followed by CRISC and then CGEIT, as I was transforming from a Technical Security role, towards Information Security & Policies. Then I got fascinated by Security Controls, Compliance and relationship with Risk Management (IT Risk Management). Once I achieved a certain level of discussions across my different roles (internally and with some of our customers), I realized the missing piece is to actually understand and identify the governance model, for all the functions to work together in harmony. This is where I pursued CGEIT.
I am a forever wondering and interested person in Cyber Security, Privacy and making sure there is a balance between governance and freedom of speech, civil rights and liberties.
