ISACA is a global association of more than 95,000 IT security, assurance and governance professionals. It was founded in 1969 and established the CISA, CISM, CGEIT and CRISC certifications. EC-Council is the provider of various technical security certifications, including the renowned Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification, and since 2003, has trained more than 90,000 security professionals and certified over 40,000 members across 84 countries.

As part of the MOU, ISACA and the EC-Council will collaborate on select training and educational programs for the benefit of attendees. Additionally, EC-Council will continue to exempt Certified Information Systems Auditors (CISAs) from the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) exam and allow them to directly take the Certified Security Analyst exam to earn the Licensed Penetration Tester (LPT) certification. ISACA will provide continuing professional education (CPE) credit for ISACA certification holders who take and pass the CEH exam.

“Both ISACA and EC-Council are committed to providing value to information security professionals, and this agreement enables us to maximize the activities both organizations provide for the benefit of our constituents,” said Emil D’Angelo, CISA, CISM, international president of ISACA. We are pleased to recognize our collaboration through this MOU and look forward to continuing our work together.”

“This collaboration will further enhance both our organizations’ commitment to the betterment of the IT security community,” says Mr. Jay Bavisi, president of EC-Council.  He adds, “This partnership between EC-Council and ISACA, a global organization like ours, can only bode well for the industry. Through this agreement, we will be able to create a strong, forward-thinking and vibrant pool of professionals who can better contribute to the information security community.”
